The Fire Service Spouse Onboarding Program is designed to provide newly married or partnered spouses of firefighters with tools and strategies to help them navigate the unique challenges of being in a relationship with a first responder. By integrating the tools from Dr. John Gottman’s “7 Principles for Making Marriage Work,” this program aims to build stronger, more resilient relationships and provide the skills needed to thrive amidst the pressures of shift work, stress, and the emotional toll of being part of a first responder family.
