Our family has experienced incredible opportunities because of my husband’s career. But I also know the other side—the sleepless nights, the unpredictability, the strain that can creep into every corner of life. For some, the fire service can feel complicated, overwhelming, or even unbearable.
That’s why I created Fire Life Connections with Next Step Connect—because this job is like no other, and so are the families who live it.
Connection is my love language.
If you know me, you know I thrive on bringing people together, making sure every person feels seen, heard, and valued. We’re not here to throw shade at departments or partners. We’re here to uplift, encourage, and give fundamental tools to navigate challenges, reclaim joy, and build a life you want to wake up to.

Fire Life Connections Coaching and Programs

Group Coaching - 8-week program
This program consists of 8 weeks with a cohort group model. Each participant receives one-on-one weekly sessions as well as monthly group calls. The goal is to create progress for spouses to find tools that work for them to successfully navigate the world of being a spouse in the fire service.
One-on-One Coaching
Coaching is not therapy, I'm not here to diagnose you. I will refer you out to a therapist or counselor if we agree that would be supportive for you. Coaching is here to develop your progress as we navigate the world of spouses in the fire service. It could be learning tools, creating systems, or building awareness to create better connections with yourself, your spouse, and those around you to allow for a more fulfilling and engaging life experience.
On-going Group Program
Connection is my love language. I love nothing more than a great conversation with a group of people I resonate with. Spouses in the fire service are instantly connected by something bigger than us. On-going group program enhances those connections and creates relationships (off social media) to allow for learning, growth, connections and empowerment.
Spouse Conference
My husband's department started a spouses conference 4 years ago. It changed everything for me. I not only knew who Jon, my husband was, but I now knew Jon, the firefighter. Our marriage was forever changed. So we wanted to create that experience for other couples in the fire service. NEW this year, we are offering the Round Rock National Spouse Conference to any department outside of Round Rock Fire Department. If you have any curiosity about what your partner does, how they do it, or what that experience is like, this is for you! You'll be challenged, empowered, and forever changed, together.
