Building trust takes time. It takes effort and intention. However, we also need to establish connections to create opportunities that foster deeper trust. What is trust anyway? It is an act of faith in another person to hold what matters to you in a space that is safe and secure.
How does our ability to develop trust enhance our connections? It allows us to have the courage to believe that someone will cherish our wants and needs as much, if not more, than we do for ourselves. It is responsibility in action.
Where do the following questions hit for you? How do they activate your reticular activating system to notice more opportunities to build trust and safety in your connections?

Family/Kids: What is one way your kids or family offer an opportunity for you to create safety for them? How does knowing that change your connection?
Personal /Self: Where do you lack safety and security, or trust in your life? How is that impacting your progress or growth?
Clients/students - What is the first thing you do to build trust with people you meet for the first time? What experience do you create for others?
Work/professional— How do you build trust in your professional life? Is it reciprocated? Why, or why not?
Nature— Do you trust nature? Are you conscious of the opportunity it creates to experience life?
Community/online networks— Where does your community lack trust in you? What would trust look like if it were entirely given and received?
